South LA Fixer Sold

Often, when I meet with clients who need to sell real estate due to death, hardship, or simply life, there is worry that the property might not sell because it's not in the "best" shape. The is anxiety made worse by the expectation that they will have to spend money and time to get the property market ready when what they really want to do is move past the situation that has broug...

Compton fixer on spacious lot

Selling property with deferred maintenance is no easy task, especially in the city of Compton with its strict pre-sale inspection process. But, our intimate knowledge of the city's requirements to sell is a competitive advantage for our clients as we are able to coach and guide buyers and cooperating agents alike though a process that can be intimidating and confusing. I (Melissa), gre...

Mid Century Modern Condo

One of our favorite things about real estate is the stories and life milestones we get to share when helping families buy and sell property. The family living in this mid-century modern condo in Ladera Heights contacted us because they were growing. The three bedroom condo had served them well when it was just mom and dad. But, after having their first baby, they realized that space, proxi...

Long Beach Condo: Top Floor and Roof Top Entertaining

Meet Brian & Noelle

Brian and Noelle contacted us in early June when the real estate world was still in the midst of figuring out sales in the era of COVID19. Brian's work was relocating him from Boston to Los Angeles to head the west coast division of his tech company. This young couple was tasked with finding a residence from 3,000 miles away with just four months to get it done. Meanwhile, the res...

Meet Daniel Ruiz

The real estate journey Daniel Ruiz and I took is one of my favorites because of all the forks in the road we encountered before arriving at the front door of his first home. He contacted me in June of 2018 on social media. At that time, he was stationed overseas and beginning to research. Initially, his focus was on a foreclosure or short sale that he might renovate himself. He had been involv...

Governor signs bill to pay housing providers COVID-19 back rent in full

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed AB 832 into law Monday night which, among other things, allocates additional federal rent relief dollars to the state rental assistance program for housing providers with qualified tenants. Unlike current law, which caps recoupment by housing providers to 80% of back rent owed by qualified tenants, AB 832 ensures housing providers receive 100% of that back rent. Those h...
